ANNETTE SUMMERSETT
A Performer - By Nature

Annette Summersett was raised in Michigan’s sparsely populated Upper Peninsula where the region’s residents are often referred to as 'Yoopers.' Surrounded by the beauty of the U.P.’s Northern woodlands and side by side with magnanimous Lake Superior, Annette grew up with a unique set of tools from the natural world to inspire her music. She, along with her three sisters, have made harnessing the essence of their home into the creative arts, a constant intention.
Annette spent six years in Los Angeles performing her music live as well as writing children’s music for Genius Entertainment.
In 2006 she worked with producer Ed Ackerson (Flowers Studio, Minneapolis, MN), Marc Perlman of the 'Jayhawks,' and drummer Peter Anderson, to independently release her album of original Americana/Folk/Rock songs entitled ‘Solid Earth and Gold.' She moved to the Napa Valley in Northern California in 2008 to pursue a career in the wine industry in tandem with her music.
Annette released her 'EP From the Woods' in 2020, which was recorded with producer Peter Craft of Boxer Lodge Studios in Napa Valley. She continues to perform and write her own alt folk songs and is also a member of the collaborative alt pop projects
